All In A Week's Work - 03/01/09

Maybe it's because it's been an extremely long week or maybe because it's all wet, windy and orange sky outside at midnight (reminds me of England) but I'm more in the shoegazer mood this week - songs that make my eyebrows go all scrunchy and my lower lip slightly stick out. It's a me thing, don't worry about it.
There's still a few beats in there though so without further ado:

The winner this week is Adele's "Hometown Glory" remixed. I love the original (and have posted that and another remix in the past - click on the "Adele" tag at the bottom to go to those other posts) and when that beat kicks in at .41?! Yes, please.
Adele - Hometown Glory (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix)

Next, another Adele remix that is straight out of the English club scene ("Red Alert" anyone?) and I think English Best Friend would agree with me...
Adele - Cold Shoulder (Basement Jaxx Classic Remix Edit)

So fuck it. I'm putting "Red Alert" on here :)
Basement Jaxx - Red Alert

Other fun choons:
Candy Coated Killahz - Playboy

Keri Hilson Ft. Busta Rhymes - Turnin Me On Remix

DiscoTech Vs. MIA - Boyz (DiscoTech Strangelove Remix)

I wasn't sure about this new Mickey Factz when I first heard it but he has the uncanny ability to get stuck in your head...
Mickey Factz - Sensibility

And now onto the shoegazer music for the week...I have a feeling that The Virgins are now going to be regulars on my Zune playlist. That and I will be dancing around my apartment to this song while singing at the top of my lungs. A pretty picture indeed :)
The Virgins - Fernando Pando

Margot and The Nuclear So & So's - Broadripple Is Burning

Ellie Goulding is being described as a cross between Bjork and Feist. With all that good stuff AND a Frankmusik remix I'm in.
Ellie Goulding - Wish I Stayed (Frankmusik Remix)

Uuuuuugh. Na naaa na naaaa. That bassline is sick.
Deep Red - Good To Go

helicopters don't capitalize their name. Who am I to argue?
helicopters - Emergency
